One Prize Winner: The Ultimate Firearms Training Package (UFTP) is valued at $1,500. UFTP is non-transferrable to any person(s) and non-redeemable for cash or any other firearm training courses on any other day(s). UFTP cannot be combined with any other specials and or discounts.
- Participants are required to be 18 years or older and have completed a PFT firearms training course by Monday, July 17, 2017.
Participants are required to have sportsmanlike conduct during the friendly PSO. Taunting/Heckling another competitor, intentionally altering/damaging another competitor's gear, arguing with Paladin Firearms Training, LLC (PFT) staff will result in Disqualification and the shooter will be escorted off of the property.
Accidental/Negligent Discharge Any bullet not directed at an intended PSO target, or impacting near any competitor, visitor, spectator, vendor, sponsor, PFT and shooting staff or any bullet that goes beyond the backstop/designated impact area will result in a Disqualification and the shooter will be escorted off of the property.
Muzzle Awareness the muzzle of the handgun will be pointed down range at all times. The muzzle will not be pointed at anybody and or any body parts.
Participants are required to ensure their handgun is in operational condition prior to participating in the PSO.
Any handgun that is dropped before, during and after the PSO course of fire will result in a Disqualification and the shooter will be escorted off of the property.
PSO is restricted to only revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. Both types shall use the same PSO course of fire.
Short Barrel Rifles (SBR) chambered in handgun caliber ammunition and AR-Pistol styles are prohibited from the PSO.
Participants are prohibited from clearing a handgun by squeezing the trigger.
Participants are required to bring their handgun in a soft or hard handgun case separate from a range bag.
Participants are required to bring a minimum of 120 rounds to compete in the PSO.
Participants are prohibited from using handguns chambered in .22 caliber and .22 caliber handgun ammunition.
Participants are required to use only one handgun during the PSO with the following handgun ammunition calibers permitted: .380 ACP, 9mmx19mm, .S&W40 caliber, .45 ACP/Auto for semi-automatic handguns; and .38 Special or .357 Magnum for revolvers.
Participants are prohibited from using multiple handguns and ammunition calibers during the PSO.
Participants are required to use only the following handgun ammunition bullets: Lead Nose, Lead Wad Cutters, Full Metal Jacket or Jacketed Hollow Points.
Participants are prohibited from using personal hand reloads, purchased reloaded ammunition, “Hot ammo,” and any commercial +P or +P+ ammunition.
Participants are required to use typical commercially available target/range handgun ammunition only.
Participants are prohibited from using the following handgun ammunition/bullet types: armor piercing, tracer, incendiary, explosive tipped, depleted uranium or any military issue grade.
Participants are required to bring a minimum of two (2) magazines for a semi-automatic handgun or two (2) speed loaders for a revolver, but three (3) is recommended for both.
Participants are required to bring their own shooting range approved hearing protection to compete in the PSO.
Participants are required to bring their own ballistically rated eye protection. Wrap around eyewear is required around prescription glasses. Sunglasses/shades that are not ballistically rated are prohibited while participating in the PSO.
Participants are required to draw from the bench only during the PSO.
Participants are prohibited from wearing a holster on the range and drawing from a holster during the PSO.
Participants are required to dress appropriately for an outdoor shooting range. Clothing articles with vulgar, derogatory, sexually offensive, racially insensitive, religious, and politically themed are prohibited.
Participants are prohibited from wearing shooting gloves, driving gloves, golf gloves, sports related gloves and any other variation.
All PSO rules shall be strictly enforced. Any participants who fail to follow the rules will be disqualified from participating and escorted off the property.
Paladin Firearms Training, LLC (PFT) will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary in April of 2017. We want to show our appreciation to all of our returning students that made this milestone possible. We will be sponsoring a friendly PALADIN SHOOT OFF handgun shooting competition reserved for PFT returning students only. In order to be eligible for the PALADIN SHOOT OFF you must be a returning student which means you have completed a PFT firearms training course in the past. This FREE, two stage “Winner Take All” handgun shooting competition will be conducted at our shooting range on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
The winner of the PALADIN SHOOT OFF will be awarded the Ultimate Firearms Training Package valued at $1,500. Interested returning students must register online for the “Paladin Shoot Off” by Friday, March 31, 2017 by typing: “Returning Student” and “Paladin Shoot Off” within the online registration. You MUST follow these instructions or you will be immediately disqualified.
If you have not taken a firearms training course with PFT, but you are interested in competing in the PALADIN SHOOT OFF you must register, pay online and complete a PFT firearms training course by Friday, March 31, 2017.
